SAFARI
ID - Your passport
to private healthcare services in South Africa in
a medical emergency - by ER24
The very popular ER24 ID service
was developed 7 years ago in response to an increasing
desire to secure quality healthcare treatment in a
medical emergency – with an ever increasing
gap emerging between services offered by private and
state healthcare institutions.
ER24
ID protects you in a medical emergency in a number
of ways:
- It connects you directly with ER24 Call Centre
(084 124) – the most sophisticated in SA
- The ER24 Call Centre has immediate access to
a nationwide fleet of Road / Air Ambulances –
the most comprehensive in SA
- The ER24 Call Centre will access your personal
datafile (in an emergency) and:
- Provide attending medical personnel with
any medical conditions you may have nominated
in your Application – to ensure you
receive correct treatment
- Provide Details of your Travel Cover Policy
to your receiving hospital for easy admission
purposes. When purchasing a SafariMED Inbound
Policy, this cover is VERIFIED.
- Contact next of kin and local operator
- Covers you in South Africa, Lesotho and
Swaziland
How
ER24 ID works:
- When applying for ER24 ID you have the opportunity
to provide ER24 with personal information which
will be treated confidentially and only used for
your benefit in a medical emergency
- ER24 will create a personal Datafile with this
information which is kept at the ER24 Call Centre
You will receive a ER24 Membership Card (plastic,
credit card type) and an ER24 Velcro Band both
with your PIN – which links to your Datafile
- Simply call 084 124 in any medical emergency
– and let South Africa’s best take
care of you.
Duration
and Cost:
- SafariID provides you with ER24 ID protection
for up to 30 days from date of arrival in SA.
- The cost per individual is R95 – including
postage within SA.
- Postage to addresses outside SA costs an additional
R65 and can take up to 2 weeks.
Which
SafariMED option do I take?

cover, then take SafariID.
(You may provide us with details of you travel
cover, which we will enter onto your Datafile)
- If you do not have adequate travel
cover, then take a SafariMED
option. (Details of this cover will be entered
onto your Datafile, which can be verified by the
